The process of remapping is a complex one and some are better than others. We have always tried to err on the side of caution when doing a power upgrade, as there is not much point in having an over-increase in power at the expense of reliability. Most of us have heard of the engine that blew apart after a remap was carried out by an over enthusiastic tuner – so sometimes less is more.
If you want to go above a certain BHP increase with a standard setup, it is likely that other work will be required. We can discuss this with you in detail if you wish.
Our workshop on the Naas Road can cater for almost all makes and models. A car with 300,000 kms / miles on it is not really a candidate for tuning, unless you are planning an engine rebuild – which we can offer as well.
